Summary:
Frank Massengale was killed while fighting a fire in a warehouse in Arlington Heights. He had come into contact with an electric line carrying 2300 volts while standing in water. As he fell, a wooden wall of the building fell on him. Massengale died at the scene.
Frank Massengale was originally a volunteer fireman, and was one of the original professional Fort Worth firemen from the time the department was organized in 1893.
