Summary:
Phillip Dean made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting a church fire in Lake Worth on February 15, 1999. Dean, aged 29 years, served five years with the Fort Worth Fire Department and 13 years with the River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department. His love for the fire service began at age 18 when he first volunteered for River Oaks where he was very active. Dean held he rank of Captain in that department.
