Summary:
Battalion Chief Robert R. Cocke was conducting a training exercise at a high rise in downtown Fort Worth On November 17, 1993. During this exercise, Chief Cocke suffered from a tremendous amount of stress and exertion, and had a heart attack. Cocke was taken to a nearby hospital where he was admitted for treatment. He was dismissed from the hospital on December 5, 1993.
While recuperating from this heart attack, Chief Cocke suffered a second, fatal heart attack on December 6, 1993 – the day after his initial release from the hospital.
Robert R. Cocke was buried in Azle.
