Summary:
On November 11, 1935, Retired Officer G. Parker Driskill died at his north Fort Worth home. His death was an indirect result of severe injuries he suffered after being struck by a motor vehicle as he stepped off a curb. Though not the direct cause of death, these debilitating injuries were a contributing factor in Officer Driskill’s death. The traffic accident reportedly occurred in 1931.

After the accident, Officer Driskill was only able to work sporadically. Officer Driskill was finally granted a pension by the Fort Worth City Council, retroactive to July of 1935. The pension, $50 per month, was granted for a medical retirement relating to his on the job injury.
