Summary:
On December 20, 1978, at about 0130 hrs, Detective Ronald Glenn Turner was driving an unmarked Fort Worth Police Department vehicle. For reasons never determined, Detective Turner lost control of the vehicle and struck a guard rail at 700 North Freeway. The vehicle turned over and Detective Turner was ejected from the vehicle. Turner was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital but was dead on arrival.
Detective Turner has been enrolled on the National Peace Officers Memorial in Washington DC.
